Instrumentation at the Swedish NMR Centre

There are seven spectroscopes at the Swedish NMR Centre. All are made up of superconducting magnets cooled using liquid helium and have advanced detectors for a wide range of applications.

NMR spectrometres

Oxford 900 pumped magnet, Bruker Avance III HD spectrometer

  • 4 channels
  • 5 mm TCI cryoprobe
  • 2 mM sucrose S/N=1460


Oxford 800 pumped magnet, Bruker Avance III HD spectrometer


  • 4 channels
  • SampleJet with temperature control
  • 3 mm TCI cryoprobe
  • 2 mM sucrose S/N 750




Oxford 800 magnet, Bruker Avance III HD spectrometer


  • 4 channels
  • SampleJet
  • 5 mm TXO cryoprobe
  • ASTM 13C S/N 3300



Bruker 700 pumped magnet, Bruker Avance III spectrometer

  • 4 channels 1H/19F/13C/15N
  • 5 mm QCI cryoprobe
  • SampleJet






Varian INOVA 600#1 NMR-spectrometer


3 channels VNMR-S console, with:

  • 3.2 mm MAS Solids probe
  • 5mm 1H{13C,15N} pfg probe S/N=839 (EB)
  • B 5mm 15N-31P broadband probe S/N=44(15N)
  • 10mm broadband probe S/N=1605





Varian INOVA 600#2 NMR-spectrometer


4 channels, 2H decoupling with:

  • 5mm 1H{13C,15N} cold probe S/N=670 (sucrose)
  • 5mm 1H{13C,X} pfg probe S/N=820
  • B 8mm 1H{13C,15N} pfg probe S/N=733
  • 3mm 1H{13C,31P} pfg probe S/N=397
  • 4mm NANO probe S/N=188


Bruker 600 NMR spectrometer

3 channels, with:

  • 5 mm diffusion probe with 1H, 2 and 19F coils and a maximum gradient of 12 T/m
  • 5mm 1H{13C,15N} pfg probe
