  • Automated lipoprotein profiling with NMR

Welcome to the Swedish NMR Centre

The Swedish NMR Centre is a National and International infrastructure offering access to one of the best NMR labs in Europe.

We provide state-of-the-art NMR instrumentation and methodology, specifically within:

  • Structural biology
  • Metabolomics
  • Chemical biology and small molecule NMR
  • Diffusion, microimaging and MAS NMR

All about our supported research areas

The Swedish NMR Centre is located at the Hasselblad Laboratory at the University of Gothenburg.

Current Courses

Biomolecular NMR: Advanced tools
5 - 16 Oct 2020

  • Observing Proteins in their Natural Environment

[18 May 2020] Björn Burmann and Johannes Thoma at the Department of Chemistry & Molecular Biology and the Wallenberg Centre of Molecular and Translational Medicine have developed a new method to examine proteins within their natural environment.

  • New study enhances knowledge about widespread diseases

[10 Dec 2019] When proteins in the brain form deposits consisting of insoluble aggregates, diseases such as Alzheimer¿s or Parkinson¿s can occur. Now a research team has come a step closer to understanding this process.

Science for Life Laboratory

The Swedish NMR Centre is a part of SciLifeLab, a national institute for molecular biosciences.

NMR for Life

A national integrated and open-access NMR infrastructure for research in the area of life science.
